I bought this book because I've been watching Kevin Ward's Youtube videos for a couple months now. Honestly speaking, I started reading the book, however, once I got to the scripts section and beyond I skimmed through the rest and put it in my bookshelf and didn't look at it till a couple weeks later. I decided to 're-read' the book again from end to end and my only regret is that I didn't buy/read this book sooner!The steps are simple yet powerful and I am completely comfortable using the scripts. So far, I have the listing presentation script memorized and mastered, where it comes out natural and I use it on all my listing appointments. I started calling FSBOs (was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED) and less than a week of calling them I had my first appointment within the first conversation! Usually, you will have to speak with them multiple times before getting the appointment.I have been in real estate for 3 years however, within the past couple of months I decided to take my real estate business seriously. I have gained so much more confidence from the advice, tips, and ideas from this book. Even though I feel like I'm starting from the beginning with my business, this book, plus his videos and my determination (most important) is helping my business grow the right way.-Michelle Rose

OMG! Where do I start? This book has exceeded my greatest expectations when it come to training and preparing you to succeed in real estate. I like the book and the straight to the point information. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a bit confusing and hard to follow- like it seemed out of order, but once I got to reading the method a couple of times and understood the method it was easy to grasp. Yes, he throws in his self-promotion and I see how some of people may get annoyed about it. I just glaze over it and move on. I do like how he gives the no-nonsense bs and gives value by actually helping agents, especially newbies like me! I do enjoy his YT videos too!

Maybe I was a little less patient with this book, I believe it is a fine product, my problem is I can see the words but if I never here the way they actually sound when pronounced by a native, I will never know if I'm saying anything right. Now if there is a audio sound tract I can purchase it will give the book a five stare raying.

From the great reviews and the book description, I thought this book would come with good subway maps, at LEAST. If you need a guidebook to help you around, don't bother with this book. I am quite disappointed.

Not really a huge choice of travel books on the Ukraine so this one serves my purpose. It's easy to read and contains the information I require.

I went as a Peace Corps Volunteer...a university teacher there. I wasn't a 22-year-old. I was going on 80 and had traveled a lot, even around the world, and alone. I was quite savvy in getting around. Oh, I armed myself with a guide book (not this one!). Plus a short "culture" book. I wasn't going as a two-week tourist. I was going to live and work and observe in that puzzling country for a full hitch of 27 months. Those two books were okay. They helped me as I traveled around that vast country on my bits of time off.Then one day at Headquarters in Kyiv I was looking through the "leave one / take one" bookcase in the Volunteers' lounge. And I stumbled on Linda Hodges' book! In five minutes I realized it was far better than the two books I had. And snatched it. From that moment it was always in my bag when I took off.I still have it. That was the second edition. This is the fifth edition, and just out. Her first one was excellent, I'm sure. Her second was terrific. Well, this one beats it. And that isn't easy when you've lived for decades in a dictatorial and often indifferent totalitarian society that tells you every move you can make, and every move you must not make!Despite this understandable fascination that she has for the country, she is careful about pointing out the many problems of modern Ukraine. She laments the often ineffective leadership. The pervasive scheming and corruption. The nasty inflation. The thorny problems of effecting changes that are proper and right and correct. The struggle to get with it. She is indeed objective.But as she notes, and as I have observed for myself, Ukraine is making impressive progress on many fronts. It is true: by and large the Ukrainians are good and endearing people. Talented and hard-working. Creative and principled.The land is beautiful and fertile. The economy has robust elements based on skilled manufacturing and world-famous agriculture. When I went there, I thought it might have half a dozen institutions of higher learning. It has hundreds! Its literacy is as high as ours. It has fine libraries and symphony orchestras and splendid museums.Its villages are charming. Its countryside offers countless Kodak moments. Its great cities can rival many great cities in the world. In some corners of Kyiv, the magnificent capital, I often thought I was in a charming quartier of Paris...and I have been to Paris numerous times.In a nutshell, this is the all-in-one book that any serious traveler should have. She tells us about Ukraine's society, its history, its language and culture, its glories, its problems. The things you should make a point to see and enjoy, and the few things that you should be careful about, as in any country, of course, even our U.S.A. Plus loads of vital advice.She has a full section on the Ukrainian language, including a very useful abundance of handy expressions. A beautiful portfolio of gorgeous and interesting color photos is included. Numerous maps. She sprinkles the book with small sidebars of important info. And she provides a fine index--a real index--that makes it easy to locate something in this hefty 368-page volume.It's appropriate to mention here that her co-author George Chumak provided the bulk of the Ukrainian language vocabulary and drew most of the maps. He is a Lviv-born Ukrainian who is a university professor of chemistry in South Carolina. Lviv is the beautiful city in the West that is the country's cultural and emotional capital.And she writes crisply and clearly, but with thousands of details. Collecting and making those details understandable is a challenge in itself. They are another big plus.I got to know Linda while I was in Ukraine. I am a writer of books myself. I e-mailed her about something one day, and she was quick in replying. It started a friendship.She asked me for bits of information about Chernihiv, the city I was posted in. And solicited some observations. I was glad to provide these tidbits. I see some of them in this book now. So in all this I got to see her painstaking and prideful attention to accuracy and detail. Impressive.She mentions that 20 million tourists now go to Ukraine in a year. Wow! What a huge gain! This shows you what strides the country is making. All these tourists should take along this book.It's only fair that I give this book what it deserves, which is a full five stars.

Bro. Hodapp does a great job at writing in an easy to get into, easy to follow, easy to love way that doesn't leave your brain checking out while your eyes mindlessly scan the pages. The information delivered in this book is as well-researched as it can be and (at least the kindle version) cites sources where available.While I cringed heavily at the first few pages, it's honestly all information that has been publicly available nearly as long as it has existed, I found rest of the text informative. While most of it was a refresher, some of it was new to me such as an anti-Masonic climate when Bro. Franklin was younger (something I need to look into more out of personal curiosity).For me this text was a fairly quick read and absolutely worth every cent. Both Brothers and non-Masons will find it to be worth their time and money!

This is an excellent book written by someone who knows what he is talking about. Christopher Hodapp does a very good job casting light on the Founding Fathers' Masonic connections. If you are interested in U.S. history, this is an excellent read.Hodapp fairly and accurately discusses the history of Freemasonry in America, the lives of many important early American Freemasons, and the building of our nation. He also does a good job breaking down many misconceptions about Masonry, both pro and anti. Hodapp cuts through much of the romanticism and lays out documented facts. The illustrations in the book make it that much better.I consider this one of the top books ever written about Freemasonry in Colonial America.

Describes a number of Masonic related items and places in the Washington DC area I was not aware of. If you ever have the chance to visit the Washington Masonic Memorial, I would recommend it.

As a researcher of various things pertaining to this book (30 plus years. Man, I'm getting old to quickly), this book had some surprises in store for me. In my opinion, if anyone is reading this, you should buy this book.Arrived very quickly and well packaged.Thanks.

Chris Hodap is a Masonic author that can be trusted. His books are well researched and filled with reliable facts. Read anything he's written including Solomon's Builders.

I'm a writer and this is for my research. Staying away from the macabre and sensationalism, this book tells it like it is. I'm inspired by the work of the builders throughout history!

Christina Ward is a Wisconsin native and Master Food Preserver for Milwaukee County. Through her popular food preservation classes, she has taught thousands of people to safely can, dehydrate, and ferment. And its not just different jams and pickles --- there are recipes in here for chutneys, mustards, bruschetta, barbecue sauce, tomato sauce etc.How did we find out about this book? We got to watch a canning demonstration by the author as part of a food history exhibition at our local museum. Her presentation was very engaging - and made us want to take on preservation as a new hobby in the kitchen. I have always thought these things were intimidating -- but she made it all seem very accessible and fun. At the end of her presentation, she mentioned she had just written a cookbook. We immediately went home and ordered the cookbook; hopeful that reading her cookbook would allow us to reproduce the pleasure we had gotten out of listening to her talk about preserving food. We were not disappointed.

Equally accessible to people new to and experienced with canning and food preservation, this wonderfully well-written resource is a must-have for people interested in delicious recipes, food sciences, and thoughtful explanations of why different methodologies work. Ward writes like an educator, which is to say she understands her readers' interests and has multiple ways to develop their understandings. She writes with warmth and humor, keeping in mind the very real health concerns that can result from poor technique in food preservation. The illustrations and photographs beautifully complement the text. The design of the book is also lovely-substantive, attractive, A welcome addition to my cookbooks! This may just give me the confidence to try pressure cooker canning for the first time.

As someone who got into fermenting (kombucha) a few years ago I wanted to go deeper and learn more about the entire preservation process. I’ve learned so much from this book on the science and art of preservation. Great balance of education with recipes and practical application. A no brained for anyone looking to expand their skills or learn about preservation.

This is an excellent book- both as a resource, and a read. The author is a master canner, and is certified through her state to consult and be an expert in the science of canning. I've always been a little daunted by the possibility of poisoning loved ones through a canning accident. This book makes the steps and precautions needed to be safe clear. It's also humorously and intelligently written, and is a pleasure to read.

A great overview of the science behind food preservation and how to safely enjoy various methods in your own kitchen. I first dove into the recipes which got me excited about the many delicious foods to explore. Then I backed up to the beginning and started the "why" and couldn't stop reading. Ward explains the chemistry and physics of preserving in a totally accessible and interesting way. I'm already thinking of many friends and family who will appreciate this unique cookbook.

I was fortunate enough to take canning classes from Christina Ward through the Milwaukee Recreation department, and very happy to get this book that contained many of the recipies we made. She taught us how to safely and deliciously preserve food. The book is almost as good as having her with you in the kitchen. A valuable resource for beginner or expert, it takes you way above other books and on line recipies. Thanks Christina!

I am someone who enjoys cooking, but who was unfamiliar with food preservation techniques - other than sticking something in the freezer. So I bought this book. And I'm glad I did. It is easy to read, full of helpful information, and it's even entertaining & funny at times. Food preservation techniques are clearly explained in the book for beginners like me. It expanded the possibilities of what I was able to do with food in my home kitchen. The recipes in the book are very good and provided an opportunity to experiment with the various techniques. This book quickly became an enjoyable addition to my kitchen.

Well-written, fun and informative, this book has literally gotten people I know to buy gear to start canning. That's not literature, that's a movement maker. Purchased for myself, and repurchased to gift. That's a true five star situation.
