I expected real, substantial information about 2nd passport acquisition, offshore banking laws, overseas investment, etc. - in other words, the stuff that's in the title of the book.Rather than write chapters that focused on these topics, he wrote a self-helpy book that told you that yes, you too can travel the world and find ways to reduce your taxes.The book always alluded and tantalized you with information, but it got stuck on this paternal, parental advice-giving, and never actually gave you the meat. Compare that with books like Millionaire Expat: How To Build Wealth Living Overseas, which is overflowing with citations, data, and sources. Yes, the topic is different, but you can see how different the writing style is ... and, ultimately, the purpose of the book.The entire purpose of the book - which won't surprise you if you've seen Henderson's other work - was to sell his consulting services, which he finally did at the very end.I spent hours reading the entire book, waiting for the punchline, hoping for some real information which I really wanted, but only got a teasey sales pitch.

A great mix of Andrew's travels and business encounters around the world with on the ground insights on being a modern day "nomad capitalist". I was pleasantly surprized with more realistic advice and down to earth explainations of the buzz words offshore and second passports. He keeps it real and also makes for a fun read along the way in what could be a pretty dry topic. Read it if you want to open your mind outside of your home country and think in the modern day global mindset.

Well, you won't find it here, simply because...that does not exist! What's best for one person isn't necessarily the best thing for EVERYONE in the world. And so it would be quite impossible to simply publish a course, or fill this book with detailed processes - just in case everyone who reads it decides that doing all that is his ONLY best option... And that would be far from the truth. Andrew Henderson revealed a lot about his personal strategy without getting too technical, because choosing his EXACT path isn't going to be right for everyone. This book is so full of information, but only for those who are willing to expand their perspective. View the ideas and tips with critical thinking, and decide whether this path is for you or not, so you can take the necessary steps to get there in a manner that suits YOU. I've always been fascinated by offshore companies, coming from a bureaucratic, business-unfriendly country (see? I'm not a US citizen, and even I found this book amazing. It's really all about perspective). This book has inspired me beyond the entrepreneurial aspect; the whole philosophy of going where you're treated best should be embraced in all aspects of your LIFE. And if you just let that sink in for a moment, it will change how you think and feel and view the world and its opportunities. Read this book, then go be an entrepreneur about it: Make the strategies your own, figure even more things out along the way, and when you can - get a mentor to get where you're going much faster.

This book was very easy to read. There are a number of very concrete suggestions about what one might do to get started that I am very excited about myself. It is not a densely packed cook book on how to live a nomad capitalist lifestyle for every possible fact scenario but the anecdotes surrounding the concrete advice are paradigm changing; its the change in thinking that reading the author's personal and consulting experiences that are the primary value add in my opinion.The book does end in a solicitation of the author's services but I never felt that the book's substantive content was lacking enough to call the book a sales pitch. I am satisfied with what I got from it whether or not I seek the author's services in the future.

I love the work Andrew has done over the last decade to become an expert in his field. Going where you're treated best is very important. Saving on taxes can be one strong motivator. There are others :-) .My first goal this week was to finish reading this book. Having completed that goal, I now continue on to the next goal for the week: Implementing as much of what I read as I can as reasonably quickly as I can.I would love to become one of Andrew's ideal clients and fully intend to do so. Meanwhile I have some building to do.Thank you Andrew!

i love these books I've red all of them 5 or 6 times and im not making that up im nine years old and i love these books i just finished the tail of emily windsnap and the sirens secret for the 6th time literary im not lying i wish i could go back in time and read them for the first time again and experience the magic for the first time over and over again you should definitely buy all of these book because you will love them as much as i do!!

My daughter loved this book we got a whole set! She needs to read at least 20 mins a day but she spends more time reading this and less time on electronics now. She would tell me what she read so far over breakfast before she goes to school.

I bought the entire set of the Emily Windsnap books for my 10 year old niece as a birthday gift. She loves mermaids and loved the books.

I am going to tell you about the setting of The Tail of Emily Windsnap. The setting took place on a ship called King of the Sea and I think that is an interesting name for a ship. Most of the setting is either on the ship or in the ocean and the author described the setting very well. I could almost imagine myself in the setting of this story. The setting of The Tail of Emily Windsnap is very creative and amazing. I can tell you a lot about the plot of this story. A girl named Emily finds out she is half mermaid at the beginning of the story when she swims for the first time and I think that it would be awesome to find out you were half mermaid. I found it very interesting when Emily met a mermaid named Shannon and learned about her dad at mermaid school. She goes through a great and crazy adventure to find her dad who is a mermaid also. I loved the plot of The Tail of Emily Windsnap. I am going to tell you the conflict and resolution of The Tail of Emily Windsnap. I thought it was surprising when Emily found out her dad was a mermaid, and was in prison and that was a problem. She is half mermaid and mermaid prison is very far away, so she would have to swim underwater, which I think would be crazy because she would not be able to swim that long and far. So Emily, her mom, and Mr. Beeston went into the ocean on a ship, so Emily could jump out of the ship when they were far enough, and go through a difficult adventure to save her dad. Emily went through a crazy adventure just to save her dad.

This was a book I read in my class for book clubs with my best friends,my teacher,and some friends who were boys. In this book,there is a girl,Emily,a mermaid,who is a hero in her own way. Most people are used to reading about a man perseptionist,but no,this time it was a woman! My point is that anyone can read this book and enjoy it. You do not have to be a girl to read about girls,and you do not have to be a boy to read about boys! I have a friend,Ryan,who read "The Tail Of Emily Windsnap" with me,and who liked it so much he bought the entire series! I am not saying you have to like this book( You most likely will though,), I am saying this book is for all gender,all people,to read. It is ok if you do not like it,but if you do not like it based on the gender of the main character,that us wrong and you need to think about that. This book had morals which made me think,Who am I? Am I truly being myself? Can I be more? This book had friendships,morals,life lessons,and meaning. My classmates and I have all been split up into different book clubs,and we are all in a book club with some other classmates,and we are doing mini dioramas based on this book. We had 5 - 6 boys in our group,and we had 5 girls. All the boys are working just as hard and focusing just as much on this diorama as the girls,even though the book had a female perseptionist! If you are still in Elementrary,Middle,or High School,then try and tell your teachers and friends about this book,and maybe you guys can do book clubs on the series. If you are reading this review at home,or maybe you're a parent,wanting to buy a book for your son or daughter,then tell all your friends so that they can tell more people so that everyone can read "The Tail Of Emily Windsnap". My 11-year-old daughter loved this book and read it in 1 day! Now we are waiting for the first set, it is coming next week and she keeps asking me everyday when it will get here. loved the first book.

I purchased this as a Christmas present for 8 year old and paired it with a mermaid tail blanket. Reading the synopsis, it seems like an appropriate, yet challenging and interesting read for her. I like that it's part of a series so if she enjoys it, there are more!

My grand daughter REALLY wanted this for Christmas, but I thought it would be too late to expect getting it through Amazon. Surprise ! got the book this morning (7AM). The cover art work on the book is adorable. The sparkles on the mermaid would make any girl want to read this book.Lila (grandgirl) loves to swim... and she will love this story. She even has a blanket in the shape of a mermaid tail.

There is a lot of crap science fiction. Sorry, but it's true. This is not that. This series, and book, is the opposite of that.The prose finds a nice balance between "the verdant emerald wands of..." and "the green grass.The plot moves along nicely. Very little feels wedged in and extraneous.The narrator's voice moves between first person personal and omniscient comfortably and smoothly. Very rarely are you jarred because of point-of-view.Characters are deep, interact naturally and are interesting. Conflicts, such as a long-simmering mother-daughter complicated relationship, are addressed head-on and honestly.The book (or more accurately, series) gives you a lot to chew on with regard to a lot of topics, by telling a great story (not by saying "You Should Feel Bad About...")Oh - for extra special bonus points, she didn't mess up The Ending!Far and away some of the best SF I've read in quite a while.

While I overall enjoyed the trilogy, the 1st book was definitely the best. I feel the 2nd introduced extra elements that only muddied the waters, and having read the 3rd, I think they were either unneccessary, or underdeveloped. In particular the motivations of the various factions (orogenes, Guardian factions, stone eater factions, the Earth) didn't always make sense.Also this book suffers from a problem common to Fantasy books that keeps me from reading more of the genre. Agatha Christie described it very well in the contest of murder "whodduneit" books when she said the readers must always feel like they are playing with a full deck of cards. That is, the author should never solve the mystery by introducing a new character or a motivation never before mentioned in the book, what she called an ace up the author's sleeve. Fantasy feels exactly like that. Magic can always show up to save the day, right? The real problem starts when the author tries to give it some logical framework only to break her own framework to get herself out of a tight spot. So when orogeny isn't enough anymore we can always whip up something else (the silver, or magic). When orogeny becomes too deus ex machina, we can make up a new thing that turns you into stone if you use it. It makes no sense, other than as a literary device. It would have been better if the author hadn't tried to explain it to us, so we wouldn't have to ask the hard questions.Don't get me wrong, I did not hate this book, far from it. Nora Jemisin puts an end to her award-winning trilogy without much fanfare, yet still to the reader's enormous satisfaction. The Stone Sky delivers exactly what it is supposed to, but in a denser and much more straightforward style than the first two books. Some reviewers have criticised this and therefore the book as ‘rushed’ as ‘anticlimatic’, but I couldn‘t agree less. After The Obelisk Gate, a true triumph of hint and understatement, where I had to re-read entire sections and there were still times where I wasn't exactly sure what was going on, ‘straightforward’ was more than welcome. ‘Straightforward’ was simply great.The Stone Sky thus delivers no surprises and ties all loose ends, giving explanation to all lingering questions. No, this is not our Earth, not even millennia ahead in the future. Yes, all hints in the previous two novels turn out to be quite literal—from the loss of the Moon through the origin of the stone eaters and all the way to the existence of ‘Father Earth’. The rage from the first book is back—tripled this time. Jemisin repeats, perhaps ten different times, in the words of ten different characters from different eras that “when the world is too broken to fix, you need to destroy it and start building it up again, brick by brick”, making this into a sort a motto for the entire trilogy. I couldn’t agree less with her.Nothing could match the structural originality—or the ‘wow’ effect it generates—of The Fifth Season. For me it will always remain the best of the three novels and one of the best sci fi/fantasty books I have ever read in my entire life. Yet The Stone Sky is tremendous both in its own right, as a separate book, and as a way to cap the series. Extraordinarily ambitious writing, unrivalled structural originality, breathtaking world-building and unbelievably enticing plot, this is all The Broken Earth has to offer—and then some.

PERFECT!! This is the third time I have done summer workbooks and these summer brain quest ones are perfection!! It's just a little bit to keep the brain juices flowing. One or two simple tasks each day. It's not like the ones that try to get your kid to a level where the next school year is pointless. It's not so boring that the kids cry and pack their things and run away to join the circus (*cough* Summer Bridge *cough*). I have three levels and they all match up to grade level very well (the Summer Bridge books were WAY off!). OK, maybe a little on the easy side, but I'm OK with that too avoid frustration over what is supposed to be a fun summer vacation. I just don't want their brains dissolving. The sticker map is fun for all ages - I have one going into 2nd, one into 3rd, and one into 5th. They all appreciate how this book was made to be enjoyable. I think it seems a little silly to my 10 year old, but he is just grateful they're not as awful as previous books. There is much more in here than we need since their summer is only 9 weeks long and I give them the first week of summer off as well as the week we were travelling and weekends. But my little one does extra work just because it's so fun and she wants to complete her map!

The book doesn't have a steady flow from one grade to the next. It all seems like it's just mixed up together in one. I was expecting something going from 4th grade level and morphing into harder work and that's just not the case. For the subjects to be color coded and because I used to use their long question and answer cards when I was little, I expected much more organization to be at hand. We got through the the book pretty okay, but I was just disappointed at how confusing the set up was. Removed two stars because of that. Even though my son finished the book, I wouldn't recommend and I would not buy again.

My kid really did fall for the whole "complete the map" idea at the end of the book. It is a bit challenging for her (she is between 2nd and 3rd grade), but work is presented in a way that incrementally builds up concepts. So, I needed to show her something about multiplication at the first chapter, but she hasn't asked for any help since. It looks like it has mixed subjects that each increase in difficulty as you work your way through in order - which is different from the other BrainQuest books.Because this is heavy paper, the book is too heavy to bring on airplane trips and because of the stickers and maps, you don't want to tear the pages out. So, in summary, my only 'complaint' is that this is too nice of a product to use piecemeal.

This is way too easy for a 4th grader going into 5th. The reading level is 2nd to 3rd grade at best and some of the math is too simple. There are a few fractions, but nothing challenging or thought provoking.

Our two kids love this series of workbooks. First pair of books we got in spring 2017 to use that summer.My only observation is the skipping around options can occasionally be a bit confusing (skipping around is an option for kids to elect what they want to work on by interest, but they eventually cover all aspects of the book).There are times the instructions could use a re-read (even for an adult), but generally these are good for brain stimulation. (Perhaps this observation is because it's been years since I have had to think like a 3rd grader, but really, there are a few times my daughter has asked for assistance with these lower level books K & 1st).The stickers are a GREAT motivator and outdoor activities are great.My wife got these as a summer activity to keep the kids mentally active and not feel like a chore. We both work from home, so I get to see first hand how the kids enjoy these. My daughter is advanced and was going into 3rd grade when we got the 4-5 grade book. She enjoyed it as did our younger daughter with other books in this series.We all like these so much we got another pair of books (to match their intellectual grade levels) for this recent 2018 summer. We usually have the kids do a few pages during the weekdays of summer and occasionally skip a day every 3rd or 4th day. It's easy to go at the pace your child enjoys and my little one (now 6) gets highly motivated once she gets going with these books (and that's the child I wouldn't have expected to want to do these as much.WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I got this as a gift for my 10 year old niece (for her July birthday), and she's entering 5th grade this year. She's pretty smart for her age, a reading level Z, and she adores math. Ava likes to get gifts that she can open and use right away, so this was great for her.It has a fold-up tear-out map in the back that you use to mark your progress- along with stickers for each page you complete and special stickers for answering extra questions on some pages- and she just loves that part! She loves finishing a page and then putting the sticker on her map. It covers most of the schooling subjects, and brings in some cool ones like archeology and Pirates. It's a really great way to keep kids learning, or remembering what they've learned, through the summer. Or anytime, if you have a kid that likes activity books. It does have an answer key in the back of the book :)Some of them are a little difficult to understand what they're supposed to do, so I deducted a star for that. She definitely needed an adults help for some of them. I don't think a fourth grader could complete this totally on their own.I hope this is helpful!

The workbook curriculum is excellent, but the binding is awful! I purchased a second workbook after the first workbook started falling apart and papers falling out, and the second one seemed fine till 2 days in and it once again started falling apart. In my opinion most 10 year olds will not be able to keep all of these loose papers together all summer long, especially if they go back and forth in two households. I'm discouraged with the quality of this item.

WHITE LIES is the second book in the Arcane series. It is a contemporary romantic suspense book. Clare Landcaster is a high level parasensitive who is a human lie detector. Because of her abilities, she has a difficult time trusting people. She has come to Arizona to meet with her father and half siblings. At her father's home, she meets Jake Salter an Arcane business consultant, who she can tell has secrets. The two hit it off (reluctantly on Clare's part). Soon, Jake's undercover investigation crosses with attempts on Clare's life. As the two investigate, they also end up learning each others secrets and falling in love.I really like the relationship between Clare and Jake. Clare is a strong woman who has been wounded by her desire to protect her family. The book is filled with misunderstandings and mistrust between all the characters. This is not a romance where the conflict is dominated by misunderstandings, rather it is the other characters who don't trust one another. As Clare states, everyone lies and this book is filled with people who are lying for various reasons. I have a great fondness for Jake who is determined but funny and considerate. The relationship between Clare and Jake remains the focus of the book even as the suspense story progresses.The book also introduces one of my favorite characters in the series: Fallon Jones. HIs book is simply amazing but there are several books before that one.The writing in the book is clean and straightforward and thus the suspense is sustained throughout the book. Although this is the second book in the series, this book can be read independent of that book. The Arcane books can be read independently, however, there is a continuing story that a dedicated reader will find satisfying as the plot unfolds in this and the subsequent books.

Jayne Anne Krentz has taken her alter egos Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle and mixed the styles into a new Contemporary novel. The Arcane Society first presented in the Amanda Quick series has been brought to the present. The powers of the sensitives is remenisent of the powers in her St Helens Trilogy. They work very well togather and give us an interesting read.Clare Lancaster is the illigetimate daughter of a real estate magnate. She became intimate with her biological relatives about 8 months ago. An e-mail from her sister brought her to Arizona to help Elizabeth escape an abusive husband. It seems the Glazebrooke family are members of the Arcane Society which measures the psychic power of the members. Clare and her mother are also members. Clare is a 10 on the psychic scale and can tell if you are telling a lie she is considered an exotic because of her power and abilities. She is a human lie detector.Jake Salter is an undercover agent for J&J (Jones & Jones)Detective agency. The Agency works to protect sensitives and root out any evil cabels that might form. He is working for Clare's dad. When Elizabeth's husband was shot and killed 6 months ago the clairvoyants at the Society found no connection to the Cabel that Jake is hunting. Jake is a 10 on the psychic scale an exotic with hunter powers.Now Jake realizes he has been deliberately led down the wrong paths. Clare and Jake are very attracted to each other and the term running hot really means their powers mesh and open each other up to more sensitive revelations. Since Clare can tell if he is lying Jake decides to ask for her help on the investigation.Almost immediately Clare has two close calls. She finally admits to Jake that she thinks Brad, Elizabeth's husband intended to murder her the night he was killed. Clare has thought this ever since she was the one to find him. Coming back to Arizona has just opened up the bag again. Now both Jake and Clare know there is someone who knows the truth and they have to find them first.I enjoyed the book, it reminded me very much of an Amanda Quick book. I did like it and I would want to read it but I'm not sure I would pay $25 for it.

I thank Dr Ngozi Iweala for this bold feat in delivering an insider account of the Nigeria project. I have always known that there was something right with the Jonathanian government that most Nigerians didn't know about. This exposé has dissolved that uncertainty.Every Nigerian need to read this book. I recommend it for every school as a necessary reference in social studies.The proliferation in the new media has given rise to a new wave of information dissemination such that a lot of lies and half truth become easier to peddle. Those who will read this book will learn to filter better what information is making the rounds. Anything short of such censorship will cause many to fall victim to miscues from political propagandists.I have been enlightened and I look forward to starting a campaign with this book as a study material for educational development that will lead to exposure of corruption and the need to institutionalize the structures of society for the the common good.Once again, thanks to Dr Ng.

The author demonstrated deep sense of understanding of Nigeria economy both from Micro and macro economic point of view. This I think was aided by perivious experience gathered while working on other growth and development assignment in the past. I also noticed practical expression of unequal level of patriotism which made her to continue her fight against corruption amidst obvious threat to her life and that of her family and friends. It take high powered brave integrity to soldier on in the type of environment the author express in this book. In all, reading this book has helped empowered me morally and academically to carry on with a similar assignment I was assigned to undertake somewhere even though at smaller scale. The author deserves an accolades.

Generally good book that gives you insight into the political plays in Nigeria. However, it is one-sided. I would have liked the author to talk about the policies they made (in the Finance Ministry) that did not go well rather than only the ones she felt were good.

While this is a personal account of one of the most controversial players in Nigeria’s history, it is quite informative. It gives a lot of insight on some of the administration’s questionable policies and decisions as well as the complex socio-economic dynamics of Nigeria. These insights along with some of her recommendations for fighting corruption should be of interest to young Africans who want to make a difference.

I couldn’t stop reading this book. It’s an expose of the crop of politicians we have in the continent of Africa and why our current situation is such a sad state.

This is an exemplary firsthand treatise on anticorruption reform. I hope more government leaders will follow suit.Though te work displayed fastidious loyalty to the author's principal when it came to laying the blame for the failure of some the anticorruption initiatives, this book will help truth seekers to form a balanced view of actual happenings during the period covered.

I give it 5 star because the book is quite revealing. Although one could tell that a lot was left unsaid perhaps for security reasons, but the narration could still give you an idea of the what behind behind the headlines.
