A really good follow up effort from A Beautiful Wreck. This story is about Eona, a woman from the future who wants to meet Ginn and provide more information about this old Nordic time for their time travel endeavors. Eona meets up with Brosa, Heinrik's younger brother, immediately and he takes her to meet Ginn. What Larissa Brown does so well and so beautifully is to write about the time and place to make you feel you are part of the story. All your senses are part of this journey. What makes these stories extra special is how the future and past work together. We learn about the time travel futuristic aspect and that's a birds eye view into the past and how different things are for a modern women. Ginn and Heinrik's love story is further developed in this book and it was nice to read about them again. So Wild A Dream and A Beautiful Wreck are like no other time travel romances I have read. Yes, they have the handsome alpha hero and the witty and vulnerable heroine but the true star of the stories are about the time and place of 10th century Iceland. There is a romance between Brosa and Eona but it is slow blooming and believable. They both are attracted to each other but each have their own issues regarding finding a forever. There is no sex in the story but it is still very sexy and sensual.I found A Beautiful Wreck somehow. It was not advertised on lists or pushed to Time Travel Romance readers. So when I started reading it and finished, I really questioned why books and authors like this aren't more well known. Maybe a hypothetical question but the writing in the 2 books are way above what you would normally read in the genre. Larissa Brown, please write more books!I gave So Wild a Dream just 4 starts instead of 5 not because the story and the writing but because it ended with a cliff hanger and Eona was a bit wishy washy for my taste. It would of been nice to see her know what she wants and go after it like Ginn did in the first book. However, still a great addition to the series.

Just when the book started to pick up Ms. Brown suddenly and without warning ends in the middle of the story. What a ripoff. The book description should warn people that this will be a highly unsatisfying half book, not just "Part 1". And over a year now and where is "Part 2"? It's very annoying to be shut out of a story like this.

I loved Larissa Brown's first book and this one is right there with it. I have not finished it yet ... full dis-closer ... but could hardly put it down to write this. Her research in the lives of the Vikings of Iceland and her ability to bring the characters to life makes this a thrilling read. I hope this series continues for quite a while.

I knew I would regret purchasing this book. The characters I warmed up to in "Beautiful Wreck" have changed a good deal in the two years that have passed since we last saw them. I cannot stomach the person Ginn has become. And lovable Har was pretty much nonexistent. The ending left me so upset because I have to buy another one to find out what happens ,cliffhanger alert ,literally. However, it was much easier to read and understand due to less time spent in the future. Honestly this just didn't do much for me in terms of excitement. I'm going to fight this compulsive need I have to finish this series and try hard not to buy the next one.

Still good but I was disappointed in the short length, it's half the page length of Beautiful Wreck. The story just starts picking up when it ends. I also didn't like main character very much. She had pretty much zero redeeming qualities about her. Brosa is great and well written and was nice to return to Ginn's world and see her character from outside eyes.

I loved BEAUTIFUL WRECK. Read it on a cruise ship surrounded by water so the memory has a particular texture. Continuing the tale brought me back to that lovely time so I had my own time travel experience. This story was as satisfying with very different characters, enough the same to bring me closer and closure, enough different to keep me tapping to the next page. Waiting for the next installment. Ahhh.

I really just loved it. This is my first amazon review - and I've been reading forever. I disagree with a previous reviewer about lead female: she and lead male were both wonderful, but they are different creatures from different times with different experiences which shape how they are drawn narratively. But the best is the setting, and how it is intertwined with the lead characters presentation of their personalities. There is something so evocative, not definable, that makes reading experience transcendent. Please believe me, I don't think I've EVER written the word transcendent about a book (nor is it a quality that I look for), but there was something so...so indescribable... I just loved it.

Very enjoyable read! I can't wait to see what how Brosa and Eðna deal with what they're up against. It took me a bit to get used to the hopping back and forth between Eðna's past and the Viking age. But thinking about how it's written, she's sorting through her past as she's there. My thoughts would be muddled too.If you liked Beautiful Wreck, you'll love this book!
